About the role
- Network Engineer II responsible for managing and optimizing network infrastructure at Clinica Sierra Vista. Collaborating with teams to enhance performance and supporting technology upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the organization's network infrastructure
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and securely
- Monitor network performance, resolve issues, and implement security protocols to protect the network from external threats
- Contribute to network expansion projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance network performance, and lead troubleshooting efforts for network issues
- Support the implementation of new technologies and network upgrades
- Improve overall network security and performance by configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Mentor entry-level staff and provide technical support to end-users.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2-5 years experience in network administration and engineering
- Strong experience in configuring and troubleshooting network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls
- Familiarity with network security measures like firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems
- Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting utilities
- Ability to manage and optimize network performance
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues.
