Administer therapeutic massage and bodywork modalities, including techniques that provide deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point, stretching, pregnancy/post-partum massage, acupressure, reflexology and hydrotherapy for Chiropractic patients.
Administer therapeutic services, including electrical stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, and stretching and strengthening activities (Under the direction of the chiropractic physician).
Work within the Scope of Practice as a Licensed Massage Therapist and an Unlicensed Supportive Personnel under the Ohio Revised Code.
Interview patients to determine medical history, condition, desired results and appropriate modality.
Monitors patient's responses to treatment and adjusts, changes, or terminates treatment based on feedback.
Document patient information, interview responses, treatments, feedback, and results.
Maintain therapy area in a clean, safe, sterile and Organizational state.
Assist patients to safely perform activities related to the development of strength and endurance.
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED
Graduate of an accredited Massage Therapy Training Program
Current licensure as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) by the state of Ohio
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
One year of experience providing massage services or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
Experience working in the medical and/or health care field (preferred)
Cupping or additional knowledge (preferred).
