About the role
- Data Engineer developing data pipelines for a top 10 national professional services firm, managing cloud engineering solutions across Azure and Databricks with a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines using Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
- Support efforts to ensure performance, reliability, security, and compliance in data engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with team members to implement technical direction and contribute to platform‑level decisions.
- Participate in delivering releases aligned with business goals, technical standards, and governance policies.
- Contribute to improvements in system reliability and maintainability through documentation and code quality practices.
- Participate in agile processes, including sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- 2 years of relevant experience required
- Experience with cloud engineering across Azure or AWS and Databricks required
- Exposure to enterprise data pipelines, databases/data warehouses, and system integrations (APIs, ETL, middleware) preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office products (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency in programming, such as, Python, R, Snowflake, GitHub, and SQL required.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib
- Proficiency in data modeling and big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
- Proficiency in data privacy regulations such as DGPR and CCPA
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
- Clear understanding of data warehouse concepts and ETL processes.
