- In-depth understanding of provincial and municipal legislation affecting public libraries
- Understanding online research methodologies and digital tools, enabling efficient information retrieval and data analysis to support library initiatives
- Statistical analysis, including forecasting techniques
- Computer systems, applications and software, especially those relevant to data manipulation
- Project management and research techniques and practices
- Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers.
