About the role

• Entry level Analyst responsible for administrative trade support in Transaction Capture for Citi's Securities Services in Kuala Lumpur. Focus on maintaining position records and coordinating securities processes.

Responsibilities

• The Transaction Capture Analyst 1 is an entry level position responsible for providing analytic and administrative trade support, in coordination with the Transaction Capture team.
• Maintain position records and provide support with processes surrounding securities.
• Receive and enter unit registry transactions in the registry system.
• Receive and upload unit prices to the registry system.
• Prepare payments files and cash instructions.
• Produce, review and send investor statements.
• Produce end of day client reporting.
• Reconciliation of cash movements and resolution of issues.
• Process and pay fund distributions.
• Provide creative solutions to reduce errors and to ensure adherence to audit and control policies.
• Provide back-up coverage for team members and assist team members during high volume periods.
• Respond to queries raised by internal stakeholders such as Fund Accounting, Middle Office, Cash and Settlements.
• Issue monthly statement to investor and should be distributed in secure manner via email/ Victor Buck System etc.
• Ensure proper completion of account opening form, in accordance to Citi FATCA and CRS obligation, ensure US Tax form & CRS self certification are validated.
• Perform tax form validation and update in TA system/FATCA engine.
• Perform signature verification to ensure signer has authority to authorize placed order or request.
• Respond to queries raised by external stakeholders such fund managers, auditors.
• Meet reporting deadlines in accordance with the client’s.
• Follow applicable Group Compliance policies for the TA role.

Requirements

• Open to fresh graduate / At least 1 years TA experience preferable.
• Strong knowledge in TA business, products and workflow.
• Knowledge of operations for various kinds of funds including but not limited to Hedge funds, Mutual funds, Unit Trust funds, Superannuation funds etc.
• Detailed knowledge of business processes and procedures as well as service and systems (including downstream impacts).
• Candidate should be flexible ready to work in in different shifts.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
