About the role
- Senior Analyst providing high-quality performance analysis and reporting for clients at CIBC. Collaborating with portfolio managers and senior leadership to deliver actionable insights and maintain data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Calculate and analyze performance returns across various asset classes
- Conduct detailed performance attribution analysis
- Prepare and present performance reports to stakeholders
- Maintain and enhance the performance database
- Identify and implement process improvements in performance measurement
- Serve as a subject matter expert for client meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in performance analysis, preferably within asset management or a related financial services industry
- Familiarity with performance measurement and attribution tools (Bloomberg, Eagle Performance, Robust) is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills is mandatory
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, or VBA is a plus
- Knowledge of performance attribution models (Brinson attribution, factor attribution) is a plus
