About the role
- Define and implement governance and security policies for projects on GCP.
- Automate development and operations processes using JIRA and other tools.
- Collaborate with teams to facilitate the adoption of IT standards and best practices.
- Manage cloud platform operations, including services such as Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, GKE, Firestore, and others.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, Argo Workflows and ArgoCD.
- Maintain and optimize infrastructure and application observability using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Contribute to the orchestration and management of Kubernetes and its associated tools.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Linux and operating systems.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and scripting.
- Advanced networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, firewalls, DNS, and routing.
- Hands-on experience operating cloud services on GCP, such as GKE, IAM, Cloud SQL, and others.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools like GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.
- Experience orchestrating plugins and add-ons in Kubernetes (K8s, GKE, Kops, Kubespray, Helm, Nginx Ingress Controller, or equivalents).
- Ability to implement and use observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, Alertmanager, Kiali, ELK Stack, Loki, and OpenTelemetry.
