Responsibilities
Setting and leading the strategic direction of Building Consultancy in line with CHPK Group objectives
Defining priority sectors, client types, and service lines
Driving sustainable growth through strong market positioning and service excellence
Ensuring the business remains responsive to regulatory change and evolving client needs
Representing the division at Group level, contributing to wider strategic decisions
Holding accountability for the quality, consistency, and governance of service delivery
Ensuring compliance with professional standards, regulations, and best practice
Providing oversight on complex, high-risk or high-profile projects
Maintaining robust procedures, quality assurance processes, and technical standards
Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional excellence
Owning the commercial performance and profitability of the division
Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning in collaboration with Group Finance
Ensuring strong fee proposals, cost control, and resource utilisation
Monitoring performance against financial and operational targets
Supporting long-term investment and growth planning
Leading, developing and inspiring senior leaders and wider teams

Requirements
Extensive leadership experience within building surveying, cost consultancy, or professional services
Proven track record of leading and growing a consultancy or service line
Strong understanding of the commercial property sector and consultancy delivery models
Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in a complex environment
Chartered professional (e.g. MRICS / FRICS or equivalent)
Strong commercial acumen, including P&L ownership and financial management
Strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into delivery
Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
