About the role
- Compliance Specialist advising on retirement plan design and compliance at CBIZ, a leading professional services advisor. Engaging with clients to ensure adherence to regulations and effective plan administration.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice and counsel on plan document design and compliance
- Provide advice and counsel on retirement plan life cycle such as IRS submissions plan amendments, restatements, and plan terminations
- Perform research, compilation, review and analysis of information to aid in decision making
- Consult with plan sponsors to resolve issues
- Perform research and resolution to assist with questions and issues
- Provide general client service and problem resolution services
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least three years of professional, retirement plan administration experience
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of industry and professional concepts, principles, practices, and procedures
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, and professional standards
- Proficient use of applicable technology
- Proficient use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and enterprise communication and travel solutions (Concur, Skype)
- Experience performing work that requires initiative and leadership skills
- Pursuing Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA), Qualified 401(K) Administrator (QKA)
- Ability to anticipate and elicit customer needs
- Ability to self-learn and develop business and technical knowledge quickly
- Motivated team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
