About the role

  • Pricing Intelligence & Automation Consultant at Caterpillar implementing automation solutions with advanced analytics. Collaborating with stakeholders to drive pricing analytics and ensure data quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Build automation solutions through collaboration with key stakeholders, utilizing advanced analytics, ML (Machine Learning) & AI (Artificial Intelligence) as appropriate.
  • Drive expansion of the Global Parts Pricing automation portfolio.
  • Provide deep expertise in dealer transaction price data and analysis.
  • Lead data quality initiatives, drive alignment with data and business partners.
  • Support high priority and short fuse requests in the pricing analytics space in support of executive leadership.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of aftermarket and/or pricing experience
  • Business Data Analysis: Knowledge of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understand the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision. Process large quantities of detailed information with high levels of accuracy. Productively balance speed and accuracy.
  • Effective Communications: Understand effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Communicates well downward, upward, and outward.
  • Business Statistics: Knowledge of the statistical tools, processes, and practices to describe business results in measurable scales; ability to use statistical tools and processes to assist in making business decisions.
  • Programming: Knowledge of concepts and capabilities of programming; ability to use tools, techniques and platforms in order to write and modify code.
  • Machine Learning & AI: Knowledge of principles, technologies and algorithms of machine learning and AI; ability to develop, implement and deliver related systems, products and services.
