About the role
- Lead Software Engineer delivering enterprise-grade ERP solutions at Caterpillar. Responsible for end-to-end implementations and leading team collaboration across multiple modules in Dynamics 365 F&O.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise solutions across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Finance & Operations.
- Lead technical delivery of Dynamics 365 F&O implementations, upgrades, integrations, and customizations.
- Architect robust, scalable, and secure technical solutions using Agile methods.
- Own and drive X++ development, customizations, and extensions using best practices.
- Design and implement integrations with third-party systems using OData REST / SOAP APIs.
- Support data migration strategies and execution using DMF / Data Management Framework.
- Develop reusable templates, frameworks, and accelerators to standardize solution delivery.
- Manage build, release, and deployment activities across environments.
Requirements
- 12–15+ years of demonstrated work experience in ERP technologies
- 10+ years in Dynamics 365 F&O/AX in ERP/CRM technical development
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Solution Architect in at least 8 full-cycle D365 F&O implementations.
- Expert-level knowledge of X++ and .NET (C#)
- Strong understanding of D365 F&O layered architecture, Data Entities, and OData/REST APIs.
- Deep hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 F&O modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Project Operations)
- Certification MB 700: Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Solution Architect Expert (Preferred)
- Certification MB 500: Finance & Operations Apps Developer (Preferred)
- Certification PL 600: Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect (Preferred)
