About the role

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
  • Build complex data models with relationships, hierarchies, calculated columns, and tables.
  • Write advanced DAX formulas for dynamic data analysis and reporting.
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using Power Query.
  • Optimize data models and report performance through efficient DAX and data reduction techniques.
  • Integrate Power BI with other platforms such as Power Apps, SharePoint, and Office 365 tools.
  • Implement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS).
  • Manage access groups and user permissions to ensure secure data access.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and business users to deliver actionable insights.
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on data insights to support business decisions.
  • Implement data validation, anomaly detection, and performance monitoring mechanisms.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify areas of improvement in business processes and suggest data-driven enhancements.
  • Ensure high data quality, consistency, and availability for analytics and reporting.
  • Understand manufacturing processes, production workflows, and shop floor data requirements.
  • Enable real-time analytics for production monitoring, downtime analysis, and yield improvement.
  • Maintain data lineage, metadata, and documentation for all data assets.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and audit requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degrees in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Industrial Engineering, data science or related field.
  • Overall 7+ years of experience in Analytics and Visualization, with at least 3 years in manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M Language), and SQL.
  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer with advanced proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Service.
  • Work Experience in Thoughtspot would be a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
  • Experience in designing and optimizing complex data models.
  • Familiarity with data governance, compliance standards, and security best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
