About the role
- Software Engineer specializing in AI at Itaú, enhancing cognitive finance platforms. Engage cross-functionally to lead integrated solutions for complex projects across the bank.
Responsibilities
- Propose, design, and lead integrated solutions across squads, corporate platforms, and bank teams
- Build technical bridges with platform, security, data, and architecture teams
- Remove blockers from critical projects by anticipating risks and simplifying paths
- Define standards, architectural references, and best practices for agile architectures
- Provide technical influence across multiple teams with a systemic and pragmatic perspective
Requirements
- Software engineering
- DevSecOps: automation and platform design integrating application and infrastructure security
- Backend: development of backend services, language-agnostic, focused on security, scalability, and performance
- Code Design: ability to design clean, modular, and maintainable code, following engineering best practices
- Software Architecture: design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure architectures, considering functional and non-functional requirements
- Software Quality: systemic view of testing, reliability, resilience, and maintainability
- AWS Stack: experience with services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, ECS, EKS, etc. (or equivalents)
- Application Integration: secure, resilient integration between systems, with attention to throughput, observability, and monitoring
- Observability as part of the architecture, not an afterthought
- Prompt Engineering: design and optimization of prompts (few-shot, chain-of-thought, etc.)
- Proficiency with AI tools for software development (copilots, agents, automations)
- Technical Writing: produce clear technical documentation to guide developers and consumers of products, components, or reference architectures
- Solid understanding of enterprise data platforms
- Ability to architect solutions considering:
- Data quality, governance, and lineage
- Data consumption by services, products, and agents
- Non-functional requirements (latency, cost, security, scalability)
