About the role
- Assist in carrying out routine operations for the assigned area and ensure employees are following policies and procedures related to employee safety and food safety.
- Monitor product-related risks and ensure quality meets customer specifications.
- Maintain compliance with the company’s safety and hygiene standards.
- Ensure employee and product safety at all times by providing training according to task procedures and individual needs.
- Support and manage the production budget.
- Supervise production workers, participate in the selection process, and manage employee well-being, performance reviews, engagement, identifying training gaps and needs, performance management, and absenteeism.
- Identify risks and recommend areas for improvement and innovation.
- Ensure the team has the necessary resources to perform activities, pursuing operational excellence.
- Handle complex issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex matters to the appropriate team.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Availability to work on a rotating shift schedule
- Experience with port operations
- Experience in receiving and shipping cargo
- Experience in people management
- Technical or university degree preferred
