Responsibilities
Involve on adoption of strategic use cases for Snowflake. Lead all the Intake requests for Snowflake as a platform, assess available solutions and recommend the most suitable solution
Deep understanding of Snowflake Usage Monitoring, Resource Monitoring, Managing Warehouses, Administrating User Account, Network Policies, Monitor Session Activities.
Familiarity with other SQL/NoSQL databases such as Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL & MongoDB
Collaborate on Snowflake Automation activities to improve process efficiency and risk compliance
Implement data sharing / replication - cross cloud / cross region for internal/external clients
Implement monitoring and alerting, implement backup and recovery processes, provide Platform and SQL performance tuning best practices.
Drive Stability initiatives by proactively reviewing and addressing Snowflake performance and capacity trends
Effectively participate and guide - 24x7 operational support shift model
Fulfill user requests ranging from User Management, Database Refresh, Performance tuning, Migration.
Mentor and guide Snowflake Platform Teammates blended with young and experienced.
Ensure regular maintenance and pro-active remediation of Snowflake operational problems.
Ready to learn other core database technology like Oracle, open source databases.
Stay focused, aggressive, active, lead by example, coordinate, and guide the leadership team, and provide value as a strong team player.
Design and Implement Disaster Recovery, Replication and Business Continuity solutions for Snowflake.
Lead and manage high severity Snowflake issues impacting revenue applications working cross functionally across leads of infrastructure/Cloud, network, and application teams.
Ensure centralized 24x7 Snowflake Monitoring and Auditing Tools in place and effective in operation.
Review consistently on the usage of Snowflake inventory on-going basis and work on consolidation, migration and deletion of assets associated and ensure savings to IT spend.
Effective governance of third-party vendor both onshore and offshore
Engage completely into full lifecycle of Snowflake environment (Plan, Build, Patch, Run)
Risk and Control oversight of Snowflake environment ensuring engagement with DB Security and Engineering teams.
Apply technical expertise to strategize for current/future technological developments and serve as point of contact for technical questions.
Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements, evaluate controls to help mitigate negative outcomes through prevention, detection, and correction – SOX/PCI/GDPR/Export compliance etc.,
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Honeywell, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing.
Engage in cross-platform training & in bits and bytes sessions on technology trends, create opportunities for career growth, and train the resources across various technologies
Requirements
Minimum 6 year’s hands-on experience as DBA with Knowledge of Snowflake Platform Administration
Minimum 4 years of solid experience of Snowflake Tuning and optimization.
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake Platform including Governance Integration, Security and Operations
Must have hands-on experience and knowledge of database technology in Azure, and AWS.
Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent work experience preferred
Good scripting Knowledge – DB, Power Shell, Unix/Shell Scripting.
Design, optimize, document, and implement the operational aspects in supporting the Snowflake cloud platform
Experience in transforming to and from on premise environment to cloud technology
Excellent oral, written and collaborative communication skills.
The ability to partner effectively across IT teams, suppliers and business customers on cross-functional projects and process improvements
Strong interpersonal skills - effective listening and be a motivated team player.

Experience and Knowledge on Oracle, No SQL databases and Big data is big plus.
