Responsibilities
This position provides an exciting opportunity to advance your Engineering and Engineering Services career within one of the Honeywell’s most profitable and dynamic Business units.
This Advanced Hardware Engineer role is responsible for driving and supporting projects that focuses on product life cycle management to include obsolescence, cost reductions, and design for supply chain resiliency actions.
Participate in new product development: requirement analysis, feasibility study, design, testing, and debugging
Be part of Global VECE SAS team and work with multiple stakeholders
Drive VECE productivity for SAS
Identifying product cost savings opportunities through vendor change of used electronic & mechanical components as well through electronic circuit design & mechanical system design changes.
Leading projects that implement these changes, collaborate with the design teams and ISC (integrated supply chain)
Preparing test plans, performing or coordinate tests of the components and final products in the laboratory, and prepare test reports
Implementing the change in the mass production factory
Leading multi-disciplinary projects and a team of engineers
Requirements
Bachelor/Master degree with 5+ years on Automatic, Electrical Engineering or Communication, Instrument engineering.
At least 7-years solid experience HW product designing and leading multi-disciplinary projects and a team of engineers highly desirable.
Review the current Electronic board design considering the current technologies in terms of component, materials & process, propose ideations to reduce BoM cost either by redesign & optimization.
Ability to redesign the electronic circuits to reduce the product cost. Should be able to drive and participate in Cost reduction Idea generation for existing products & perform or support feasibility review of new ideas assigned
Ability to work in any of the VECE life cycle as in Ideation, Evaluation, Execution & Implementation stages of the ideas & projects.
Six Sigma Green Belt with experience supporting manufacturing
Technology leading experience on product development from initial definition to mass production.
Experience on EMC design and issue investigation.
Experience in device solution design, simulation, and test such as 5G, BLE, USE, Wi-Fi, Sub 1GHz RF, 125kHz/13.56 RFID.
Experience on high speed digital and analog circuit performance test and reliability test..
Industry level or automotive level products design, test, certification experience
GB, EN, and UL security regulation experience is plus
Experience in agile software development is plus
Experience of leading multi-disciplinary projects and a team of engineers and technicians is highly desirable; able to schedule facility utilization, budget etc.
Good English communication skill is necessary.
