Responsibilities
- The Systems Project Engineer will be responsible to the Yeovil Systems Engineering Manager.
- The Systems Project Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of the system and its products to the customer requirement documentation. Experience in the use of DOORS / DOORS NG as a requirement’s capture software would be useful.
- The role includes responsibility for the complete ECS system life cycle: systems requirements capture and management, systems design, support to systems modelling and performance testing. Interpretation of system test results and problem-solving skills are required.
- Responsibility for defining the system level requirements includes requirements allocation to electronic controls and component level requirements.
- Reporting of system design / development status to internal and external customers.
Requirements

- An engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering is required. Knowledge of thermodynamic and fluid dynamic theory and practice would be useful. Specific experience of working with air management systems would be useful. However, other relevant systems experience would also be taken into account and assessed on merit.
- An additional knowledge or experience of ‘Vapour Cycle System’ (VCS) technology and product design would be useful.
