About the role
- Senior Engineer managing and developing a team of Multi Skilled Engineers to enhance productivity. Leading maintenance and operational efficiency for a major bakery brand in Enfield.
Responsibilities
- Develop and engage a small team of 3 Multi Skilled Engineers
- Drive the effectiveness of the engineering team in reducing downtime and increasing productivity
- Ensure daily preventative maintenance activities are completed to a high standard
- Resolve breakdowns quickly and efficiently to maximise plant reliability, performance, product quality and safety
- Take the lead on more complex maintenance tasks
- Ensure required parts are available for maintenance
- Responsible for a detailed handover to the next shift team
- Lead short interval control meetings with the production team
Requirements
- Electrical and Mechanical engineering experience
- Fault Finding and Route Cause Analysis skills
- Knowledge and experience of maintenance preferably in an FMCG or manufacturing environment
- H&S knowledge e.g., PUWER, IOSH – able to ensure a safe working environment
- Structured and practical engineering training (e.g. apprenticeship/HNC/degree)
- Coaching and mentoring skills, takes responsibility for the training and coaching of others
- Analysing and problem-solving skills, anticipates problems before they occur and takes steps to deal with them/correctly and swiftly
- Communication and relationship building skills
- Must have or be eligible for the right to work in the UK
