Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical reference for the data engineering team, guiding architecture decisions, defining standards, and promoting best practices;
- Define, evolve, and maintain a Lakehouse-based data architecture using Databricks;
- Design and implement large-scale data ingestion, processing, and provisioning pipelines;
- Ensure performance, availability, security, and governance of data assets;
- Collaborate with product, technology, and business teams to turn analytical needs into sustainable, scalable technical solutions;
- Establish and promote DataOps practices, versioning, automated testing, and continuous integration for data pipelines;
- Review technical deliveries to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to defined standards;
- Monitor platform costs and operational efficiency, driving continuous optimizations;
- Support technical prioritization and roadmap planning for the data platform;
- Identify technical risks and propose continuous improvements to architecture, processes, and operations;
- Orchestrate complex workflows with proactive monitoring and implementation of intelligent alerts;
Requirements
- Previous experience in technical leadership or coordination of data teams
- Proven experience in data engineering or data architecture in corporate environments
- Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in at least one data-processing language such as Python, Scala, or similar
- Solid experience with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, Jobs, and notebooks)
- Experience with cloud data architecture, preferably Microsoft Azure
- Experience with analytical data modeling and distributed processing
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security practices
- Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
