Responsibilities

  • Design and implement innovative sourcing strategies for high-value and complex ICT procurements.
  • Provide expert advice to executives on sourcing models, market conditions, and risk management options.
  • Lead the evaluation of sourcing approaches (e.g., panel, direct negotiation, outcome-based contracts, SaaS models).
  • Lead end-to-end management of complex or sensitive procurement processes, ensuring probity, transparency, and compliance with government policy.
  • Manage and oversee tender documentation, evaluation, negotiation, and recommendation for contract award.
  • Drive outcomes that balance cost, quality, delivery risk, and long-term value.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of ICT supplier markets, category trends, and pricing models.
  • Build relationships with key suppliers to inform sourcing strategies and anticipate market changes.
  • Partner with engagement, portfolio, and architecture teams to align sourcing with business needs and technology strategy.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to procurement specialists on best-practice sourcing and negotiation.
  • Represent the sourcing function in executive forums and cross-functional working groups.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, law, procurement, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience (mandatory)
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and leading strategic sourcing approaches for high-value, complex ICT procurement (mandatory)
