About the role

  • Procurement Policy Officer supporting engagement and communication for the Chief Procurement Officer in the Department of Transport and Planning, contributing to procurement knowledge and capability building.

Responsibilities

  • Support various procurement stakeholder engagement opportunities
  • Coordinate and minuting complex discussions at Community of Practise meetings
  • Contribute to regular communication events for the Chief Procurement Officer
  • Provide timely and accurate advice and documentation
  • Contribute to capability building activities in procurement across the organisation
  • Assist with preparation of communications from the Chief Procurement Officer
  • Support procurement-related intranet content and initiatives

Requirements

  • Procurement experience or knowledge would be desirable
  • Foundational capability in policy development
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Effective communication
  • Ability to organise information logically
  • Demonstrated curiosity and continuous improvement mindset
  • Developing understanding of procurement policy
  • Experience supporting procurement or policy-related activities
