Responsibilities
- To support and assist the Clinical Service Director of Anaesthesia and Heads of Units, in the provision of high quality anaesthetic services across Monash health sites, consistent with Monash Health values.
- Provide clinical leadership through active involvement in patient care.
- Be available to medical colleagues for consultation and liaison as appropriate regarding patient care.
- Support academic, research, education, training & supervision (both undergraduate and postgraduate) roles in the Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine, Monash Health.
- Contribute to the professional and corporate life in Victoria's largest public health service by participation in appropriate committees and educational platforms.
- Contribute to ongoing service improvement and clinical and workforce innovation to ensure Monash Health provides high quality accessible anaesthetic services
Requirements
- Specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Fellowship of the Australian & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
- Experience in clinical quality assurance and improvement process is required.
- For full Paediatric scope of practice recognition, a 12 month fellowship, in a recognised tertiary Paediatric hospital, is required
- A valid Employee Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required for all medical staff at Monash Health.
