About the role
- Mining Engineer delivering high-quality mining studies that support major business decisions at Evolution Mining. Collaborating with teams on block caving and mine planning.
Responsibilities
- Contributing to mining studies, including timelines, work programs and technical inputs
- Supporting Life‑of‑Mine and strategic mine planning activities, with specific input into development and production scheduling, ventilation and costing aspects of block cave studies
- Preparing technical reports, documentation and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Communicating study outcomes and recommendations clearly and effectively
- Upholding high standards of health, safety and compliance in line with Evolution Mining values
Requirements
- A Degree in Mining Engineering
- Block caving experience (essential)
- Ventilation & Scheduling exposure within underground mining, ideally supporting studies or planning activities
- Experience contributing to mining studies and/or strategic or LOM planning
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving skills
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills, with confidence preparing technical reports
- Exposure to mine planning software such as Deswik and ideally PCBC / PCBC VentSim
