About the role
- Engineer 2 responsible for transmission line design within GAI’s Power Delivery team, offering flexibility for hybrid or fully remote work arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for technical leadership and successful delivery of transmission line designs
- Maintain the scope, schedule, budget, and quality of projects
- Complete day-to-day project tasks as required for successful project delivery
- Preparation of Specification Packages
- Preparation of Structural and Fabrication Drawings
- Design and Analysis of Transmission Lines using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-Tower is a bonus
- Design and Analysis of foundations
- Analysis of existing and proposed structures with regard to Client and Other required codes
- Performance of Electrical Clearance checks and calculations
- Apply engineering principles to assist in the design of Power Delivery Projects
- Implement effective engineering methods, provide technical guidance, and act as a resource for engineers and designers
- Manage multiple projects directly
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited college or university in engineering is required
- Preferred a degree in Civil, or Electrical engineering
- PE License required
- 6+ years of experience in transmission line design
- Required experience with PLS suite (PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE)
- Preferred experience with PLS-TOWER and FAD Tools
