About the role
- Build a deep understanding of APEXX’s payment flows, data structures, and reporting ecosystem.
- Lead the analysis, definition, and documentation of business and technical requirements across new integrations, data ingestion, and reporting initiatives.
- Partner with engineers, data specialists, and product managers to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions.
- Drive standardisation of reporting capabilities, including common dashboards, KPIs, and data definitions across merchants and internal users.
- Develop and maintain design documentation such as Interface Specifications, Data Dictionaries, and Reporting Specifications, along with data flow and process diagrams.
- Work with the Data team to shape a robust and extensible data platform for ingestion, processing, and visualisation.
- Use SQL and analytical tools to validate data quality, investigate anomalies, and support insight generation.
- Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of analytical processes, tooling, and documentation standards.
Requirements
- Solid experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within payments, fintech, or another data-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of data management, integration, and warehousing principles.
- Confident in translating business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
- Skilled in SQL and comfortable working directly with data for validation and analysis.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across Product, Engineering, and commercial teams.
- A product mindset, with experience contributing to the design and rollout of scalable data or reporting capabilities.
- Organised, methodical, and proactive — able to manage multiple priorities and drive work through to completion.
- Curious, analytical, and eager to shape how data informs decision-making and customer value.
