Data/Operations Analyst analyzing insider and cyber risks for SMBC. Utilizing data analytics and reporting to enhance cybersecurity measures in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
Review data, metrics, reports, and dashboards to identify patterns and anomalies for insider and cyber risks.
Understand the requirements in-depth and use frameworks such as NIST SP 800-53, CISA IRMPE, and NIST AI RMF, with a focus on insider risk.
Conduct analytical delivery of insider and cyber risk trends, patterns, anomalies, and cybersecurity metrics, KPIs/KRIs, and dashboards.
Assist in evaluation of existing and planned metrics and dashboards, identify gaps, and propose new metrics.
Synthesize insider and cyber intelligence, interpret policy compliance data, and contribute to strategic recommendations.
Produce technical to executive-level analysis and reporting using Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint, and track and manage tasks using tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and other project management platforms.
Engage with internal stakeholders and ensure that analysis findings are actionable and support broader organizational objectives related to cyber insider risk and compliance.
Support the use of reports, metrics, and dashboards by different types of users.
Requirements
3 years or more in a data/operations analysis role.
Must have strong ability to apply data analytics in a strategic context.
Proficiency in Relational Databases, SQL, Power BI/Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
Experience in tools such as Python, Databricks, ServiceNow and Jira would be a plus.
Candidates must have strong data and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret technical data and develop actionable metrics, and dashboards for different levels of business stakeholders.
Experience with insider risk and cybersecurity principles, insider risk frameworks and insider threat modeling is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new methodologies is essential.
Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate a self-motivated and disciplined approach to learning and working.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and demonstrate leadership skills when needed.
Possess a highly developed sense of personal accountability and follow-through with an ability to effectively prioritize multiple personal tasks, projects, and goals.
