- Grassroots Analyst conducting investment research for Allianz Global Investors in Hong Kong. Collaborating with portfolio managers to manage research studies and communicate insights.
Responsibilities
- Work with portfolio managers and analysts in the region to incubate, design and manage research studies of strategic importance to our portfolios
- Manage a network of external reporters to ensure the smooth execution of the research studies
- Analyze, interpret and communicate Grassroots research study findings to investment professionals
- Communicate proactively with investors globally on the findings of the studies and contribute to client communications
- Manage multiple research projects on deadline
- Active participation in investment meetings
Requirements
- University bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably related to finance or statistics
- 2+ years of professional work experience related to investment research, market research or investment data analysis
- Experience in developing and delivering presentations to both internal management and external clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proactive mindset
- English and Chinese Mandarin an advantage
- Self-starter and team player
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with both fixed and changing deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for communicating with internal/external colleagues
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Knowledge and experience in data analysis and coding
- CFA levels passed, aspiration
- Investment knowledge and understanding of economics and financial markets
