About the role
- System Engineer overseeing MATLAB/SIMULINK algorithms for rocket systems at Capgemini Engineering. Ensuring robustness, managing codebases, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team for optimal simulation.
Responsibilities
- Serving as the technical guardian for complex MATLAB/SIMULINK algorithms within our systems team, ensuring their robustness and reliability
- Managing version control and configuration of algorithm codebases to maintain traceability and consistency across releases
- Establishing and enforcing coding standards and architectural guidelines that promote efficient, reusable code libraries
- Partnering with algorithm developers and systems engineers to integrate enhancements and optimize existing simulations
- Conducting thorough code reviews and validation processes to ensure algorithm performance meets specifications
- Coordinating updates, bug fixes, and improvements in alignment with project timelines
- Creating comprehensive technical documentation and facilitating knowledge sharing within the team
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
- Extensive hands-on experience with MATLAB/SIMULINK for developing and maintaining complex simulation models
- Demonstrated expertise in guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) algorithm design and simulation
- Strong software engineering background including version control systems, configuration management, and code optimization
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and collaborative mindset for working in multidisciplinary teams
- Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken)
