Risk Manager for Business Continuity and Resilience, working in Operational Risk Management at Capital One. Advising and overseeing risk within the Global Payment Network and technology services.
Responsibilities
Supports risk advising of Capital One's Global Payment Network (GPN) and Enterprise Technology
Acts as a primary interlocutor with tech and third-party risk counterparts
Serves as a thought leader on how to meaningfully enhance our second line framework to oversee Capital One’s operational resilience
Analyzes data and influences others to proactively identify risks and trends on an ongoing basis
Uncovers new areas of risk related to the payment network and tech services
Develops a strong understanding of the data eco-system
Fosters a highly collaborative environment with other risk teams and various partner groups to create an integrated and seamless risk experience for the business
Quickly builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including cross-functional partners in GPN, tech, and/or third-party
Executes challenge activities to elevate areas of suspected risk and escalates appropriately to Operational Risk Management leadership
Provides oversight, guidance and effective challenge to business areas during risk assessments
Consults on Issue/Event analysis or changes in resilience conditions to support first line risk response and to inform senior leaders in risk management of our aggregate exposure to operational disruptions
Demonstrates strong communication, collaboration, problem solving and influencing skills across various levels of the organization
Balances multiple priorities to help drive business value and support team objectives
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 3 years of experience in risk analysis specific to global or domestic payment network operations and infrastructure
At least 3 years of experience driving collaboration with technology teams regarding resiliency and/or disaster recovery associated with third-party or internally managed services and applications.
At least 4 years of experience in risk, compliance, or audit
At least 3 years of experience working with internal business customers
At least 2 years of experience in business continuity or technology resilience
5+ years of experience in risk, compliance or audit (preferred)
4+ years of experience in risk analysis specific to global or domestic payment network operations and infrastructure (preferred)
4+ years of experience driving collaboration with technology teams regarding resiliency and/or disaster recovery associated with third-party or internally managed services and applications (preferred)
3+ years of project management experience leading cross functional programs in risk (preferred)
Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging data analysis tools to work with and interpret large, complex datasets for risk identification and reporting (preferred)
Certification in risk management, audit, or business continuity management (Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)) (preferred)
