About the role

  • Intermediate Graphic Designer at Pooch focusing on packaging design and retail marketing execution. Collaborating to enhance brand presence in retail environments across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute packaging across a range of products, including dieline creation, setup and adaptation, artwork updates, mock-ups, print-proofing, and production-ready files
  • Refine and expand existing packaging systems while maintaining brand consistency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Production to support launches and timelines
  • Resize, edit, and retouch ecomm and lifestyle photography for use across packaging and retail marketing assets
  • Prepare imagery for print and digital use, ensuring colour accuracy and brand consistency
  • Design retail-focused materials such as seasonal lookbooks, sell sheets, displays, POP, retail toolkits, tradeshow assets and booth
  • Support retailer-specific campaign execution, adapting creative for retailer social, digital, and site placements as needed
  • Help elevate how the brand shows up in retail environments across North America
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing deadlines and deliverables
  • Take ownership of projects from concept through execution with minimal oversight
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Art Director and broader marketing team on ongoing initiatives
  • M ay support broader marketing campaigns as needed, helping adapt creative across channels while maintaining brand consistency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design or a related field
  • 4–5+ years of experience in a graphic design role (in-house or agency)
  • Strong experience designing packaging and retail / sales materials
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign; motion experience is a plus)
  • Solid understanding of print production and file preparation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to execute against creative briefs
  • Comfortable taking creative initiative and working independently
  • Organized, adaptable, and able to manage shifting priorities
  • Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
  • Pet enthusiast (strongly preferred!)
