About the role
- Category Manager responsible for strategic implementation in the On Trade channel for Campari. Collaborating across teams to enhance category performance in wines, champagne, and spirits.
Responsibilities
- Develop the category strategy for accounts within the Prescriber (On-Trade) channel
- Build operational plans (assortment, pricing, promotions, merchandising) and ensure their execution
- Develop an assortment policy tailored to each customer type and monitor numeric distribution (DN)
- Develop, present and manage promotional plans in coordination with the Key Accounts Director
- Define merchandising recommendations and support their implementation
- Develop and monitor commercial KPIs
- Produce monthly and quarterly analyses and perform diagnostics by account/retailer
- Work closely with the CCM team, Key Accounts Directors, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Legal
Requirements
- Proficiency with distributor and consumer panel data
- Strong experience in Category Management within FMCG or the Prescriber (On-Trade) channel (experience in multinational companies appreciated)
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills with the ability to formulate clear recommendations
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work autonomously
- Mastery of sales methods and techniques, with strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of the beverages market, distribution channels and competing players (asset)
- Professional proficiency in English required
