  • Graphic Designer at Byline Bank responsible for producing visually compelling creative aligned with brand strategy. Collaborating across teams to deliver designs for multiple marketing channels.

Responsibilities

  • The Graphic Designer is a key member of the Creative Services/Marketing Operations team, responsible for producing visually compelling creative that aligns with our brand and supports growth strategies across all lines of business (LOB)
  • Collaborates closely with marketing partners and LOB stakeholders to deliver design solutions across multiple channels and mediums, including sales collateral, advertising, social media, websites, email campaigns, and more
  • Design and execute high-profile materials that reinforce Byline’s brand strategy, including the Annual Report, Community Impact Report, and Quarterly Infographics
  • Produce design assets across multiple formats, including digital ads, website pages, print ads, social media graphics, whitepapers, sales collateral, signage/OOH and presentation decks
  • Adapt and extend agency-led campaign ideas into cross-channel creative assets to support rollout across diverse mediums
  • Develop creative strategies and creative design concepts for internally led marketing campaigns and project initiatives, collaborating with product marketing managers, line of business stakeholders, and marketing partners
  • Lead implementation and maintenance of the digital asset management platform, supporting onboarding including development/upload of creative files, participation in training
  • Contribute fresh ideas during brainstorming sessions to address business challenges creatively
  • Provide constructive feedback on agency and team member creative projects when needed
  • Stay ahead of current design trends, emerging technologies, and innovative techniques for creative design with a goal towards scaling with efficiency to support the organization’s growth
  • Ensure design projects are aligned with brand standards and provide quality control as required
  • Support marketing Brand Review process
  • Update brand guidelines as required
  • Manage creative source file libraries for easy access and version control.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or related degree (preferred)
  • 7+ years of experience in Creative Services and/or Graphic Design, working in a fast-paced, matrixed, in-house creative team or agency environment
  • Experience in financial services or regulated industries (an asset, but not required)
  • Proven creative expertise across multiple channels, including print, signage, email, digital/social content design
  • High proficiency in Mac and PC environments, including Microsoft Office, Teams, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Acrobat, Express)
  • Exceptional project management, collaboration and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Adaptable and proactive, able to manage multiple projects and respond to shifting priorities
  • Ability to meet demanding timelines and set clear expectations with stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade others
  • Exceptional aesthetic sense with a strong grasp of design principles
  • Business acumen and strategic thinking, paired with storytelling ability to convey ideas effectively
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision or direction
  • Comprehensive knowledge of creative industry best practices
  • Proactive in staying current with digital trends, innovation, and emerging technologies
  • Experience working in a hybrid environment with demonstrated effectiveness working with virtual teams
  • Portfolio required: Include graphic design samples with your application
  • Proficiency with video production, animation, and out-of-home advertising channels (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of HTML for digital design applications (preferred)
  • Familiarity with AI tools and technologies for creative development (preferred).
