About the role

• Principal Engineer designing and modeling roadway projects with expertise in Autodesk/Bentley tools at Arcadis. Delivering end-to-end design and mentoring project teams in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Principal Engineer - Design and 3D modelling for Design & Build and Highway projects with proficiency in various Autodesk/Bentley tools as mentioned in Mandatory Technical Skills.
• Responsible for end-to-end project design and delivery for Roadway design related tasks;
• Preparation / Finalization of various roadway related drawings at various stages of projects.
• Ability to understand existing condition reports and surveys.
• Preparation of design reports.
• Computation of quantities.
• Promote SHE good practice within the team.
• Manage the performance and mentor team members, identifying and ensuring the resolution of any issues.
• Work collaboratively with other design disciplines within an agreed engineering management environment to ensure the integration of the overall design or solution.
• Provide technical advice to team members, to support them in their delivery on the project and in their professional development.

Requirements

• Education - Graduation - B.Tech/B.E. – Civil or Post Graduation - M.Tech – Water resources/ Environmental Engineering or Civil.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in a Design Consulting Environment.
• Delivered at least four major projects for the Canada/ US region in a lead role.
• Strong understanding of Design codes & Standard Construction Practices.
• Achieved/ Started the Chartered or Incorporated Engineer professional status, or equivalent.
• Software – SewerGEMS, PCSWMM, WaterGEMS, HY8, Civil 3D, OpenROADS(Drainage), AutoCAD or MicroStation, Infraworks and Navisworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English), including technical report writing.
• Should have Project Management experience.
• Organized and proactive (self-starter).
• Knowledge of Programming (LISP,VBA,.Net,C,C++) is an added advantage.
• Project Management, Design Management.
• Experience in MS Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Read, write and speak - English.
