- Participate in engineering and design of the HVAC and plumbing systems in various types of facilities.
- Design and Construction Activities
- Project Delivery Methods - Traditional Design-Bid-Build and Alternative Conceptual-Bid-Build.
- Facility Types – Power Generation buildings, Substations, Oil & Gas structures and Energy Storage buildings.
- Systems – HVAC and Plumbing.
- Type of Areas – Power Generation Hall, Administrative, Warehouse, Maintenance, Workshop, Laboratory, Chemical Storage & Handling, Electrical Distribution Center, Low & Medium Voltage Switchgear, Pump Areas, Engine Generator, Blowers/Air Compressors, and Flammable & Combustible Liquids Storage.
- Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Studies
- Energy Audit/Efficiency - Engineering studies, system performance reviews, and energy compliance calculations
- Code Review/Application - Facility review for code compliance
- Sustainable Design/LEED - Application of sustainable strategies
Requirements
- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
- Basic knowledge of NFPA standards
- Computer generated HVAC Heatloads, energy modeling and HVAC equipment sizing
