About the role

  • Water Resources Engineer specializing in stormwater management and flood control with Black & Veatch. Executing projects for innovative solutions in water resources and condition assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of water resources projects for services including planning, modeling and/or design of stormwater improvements
  • Planning and/or design of green infrastructure and sustainable watershed measures
  • Planning and/or design of flood mitigation improvements
  • Erosion and sediment control planning and design
  • Regulatory compliance and permitting efforts
  • Provide business development leadership
  • Build client relationships
  • Act as Project Manager
  • Interface with innovative stormwater, water quality, and planning partners
  • Provide technical mentorship to professionals

Requirements

  • 11+ years of water resources planning and design experience
  • Experience developing and executing water resource planning and design projects
  • Proficiency with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA/XP-SWMM, InfoWorks, EFDC, CFD, ArcGIS, Cityworks, Lucity or other Asset Management/CMMS systems
  • Experience with regulatory requirements and procedures
  • Drive client-facing/business development effort
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering
