Responsibilities

  • Play a meaningful role in addressing critical water infrastructure challenges
  • Contribute to diverse, impactful projects
  • Develop familiarity with departmental design guides, standards, and engineering codes
  • Prepare engineering deliverables like drawings, reports, and specifications
  • Perform routine research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection
  • Collect, assimilate, and manage data for engineering work
  • Prepare basic engineering calculations following standard methods
  • Coordinate with others when directed by supervisor or project leadership
  • Focus on the needs of internal clients while attempting to understand external client's interests

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Civil engineering
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
  • Prior water internship or water coursework preferred
  • Basic knowledge of engineering design principles
  • Basic industry knowledge and technology trends
  • Understanding of budget, schedule, and quality requirements
