About the role

  • Manager, Community Health for Mercy Health in Cincinnati focusing on health equity and community engagement. Responsible for developing partnerships and ensuring compliance with health programs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify local community health issues, priorities, and opportunities with an emphasis on health equity, economic and community development, community engagement, holistic health, and well-being.
  • Ensure community health programs meet regulatory requirements, industry best practices and are a collaborative endeavor including community partners and community members.
  • Initiate and mature programs and partnerships aligned to the organization’s Community Health strategy.
  • Develop effective relationships with community leaders and residents across diverse interests, cultures, and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Continuously engage local stakeholders and community residents to identify local issues, priorities, and opportunities for partnership.
  • Represent the organization at local task forces, community coalitions and advisory groups.
  • Compile and report community benefit data and prepare reports with evaluation metrics to share with senior leadership.
  • Develop funding priorities, application and review processes, and ongoing expectations for funded partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, Community Health, Public Policy, or relevant field (preferred)
  • 3 years of experience in an acute care or community outreach setting (required)
  • 1 year of leadership experience (required)
  • 3 years of leadership experience (preferred)
  • Bilingual based on market needs (preferred)
