About the role
- Product Certification Auditor conducting assessments for BSI's compliance with standards. Engaging with various clients to ensure product excellence through independent assessments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct product certification assessments across varied environments
- Ensure compliance with BSI’s rigorous Kitemark/Benchmark schemes
- Deliver product assessment audits across manufacturing areas that include PPE, Fire Suppression Systems, Construction Products, and Plumbing Products
- Support clients through their assessment process to achieve certification
- Conducting site audits both remotely and at client sites
- Responsible for taking clients through their audit process from opening meetings to creating reports and presenting findings
- Support the recommendation for the issue, re-issue or withdrawal of certificates
Requirements
- Previous auditing experience is a plus
- Expertise in quality management systems (ISO 9001)
- CCAA Certification is essential for this position
- Strong focus on quality management and compliance
- Relevant qualifications in manufacturing, construction, or a built environment related subject matter
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to produce high-quality audit reports at pace
- Experience in product assessment or auditing is highly desirable
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 is essential
- A Lead Auditor qualification would be a distinct advantage
