Responsibilities

• Exceptional Scripting skills (E.g. Bourne and Bash Shell Script, Perl)
• SysAdmin with critical Linux Admin skills.
• Maintain and manage unix crontabs and scheduling
• Setting up SSH password less keys, OS Configuration, SSHD Configuration Management and administrator RHEL Enterprise Linux
• Taking advantage of AI, ChatGPT and BroadGPT to efficiently complete tasks quickly and in a timely manner, enhancing scripts and processes
• Clear understanding of UNIX directory structure and permissions, file archiving and purging.
• Create and maintain unix sftp accounts, sftp environment, scripting with sftp, both system and application scripts.
• Understanding of chroot’ed SFTP Accounts, creation, setup and maintenance.
• Creation and automated scripting creating new linux shell users.
• implement new SSH keys, generate new keys and setup password-less sftp connections.
• Process documentation: Creating a process flow for each process on confluence including diagrams with Visio
• Participate in all new clients’ environment set up, DR and failover testing, server’s migrations and any other related to above indicated tasks.
• Investigation escalated by Operations related incidents 24x7
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
• Assist with the classification of Level 3 Problems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to take ownership and find resolution of problems quickly and efficiently.
• Automating and moving away from redundant manual tasks.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or related field, or diploma with relevant experience.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in structured scripting languages
• Exceptional Linux/Unix System Administrator experience focused on Unix Bourne/Bash Scripting
• Exceptional experience with SSH Keys, configuration, and setup.
• Exceptional Scripting skills (E.g. Bourne and Bash Shell Script, Perl)
• SFTP Scripting Experience
• Experience with electronic trading systems.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving qualities.
• Ability to work with customers and 3rd party vendors for implementations and resolving issues.
• Ability to discuss and at times meet with clients to discuss challenges and opportunities.
• Personal sense of accountability to get the job completed
• Previous success in technical engineering
• Coding experience beyond simple scripts, advanced script
• Being extremely resourceful and learning about the environment as needed.
• Working well with other team members and collaborating with the various SRE Teams and other departments.
• Trading Systems, Disaster Recovery Mechanisms, Failover Systems, Mission Critical Systems
