About the role
- Senior Manager developing and delivering overall strategy for the British Business Bank. Engaging with government and industry stakeholders to support smaller businesses' growth and access to finance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the overall strategy for the Bank
- Engage closely with government and industry stakeholders
- Translate government policy priorities into action to support the growth of smaller businesses
- Work closely with the Bank’s product and front-office teams to support delivery
- Undertake analysis and identify opportunities to improve SME access to finance
- Support the Board and Executive Committee in delivering the Bank’s corporate strategy
- Lead work on priority projects with complex challenges
- Undertake comprehensive analysis and research
- Manage and lead projects through to completion
- Deliver presentations to key stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across the Bank
Requirements
- Previous experience of working in a Strategy role
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders
- Fluent in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Understanding of how Government departments work is desirable
- Experience in developing company or product strategy within a Financial Services context is an advantage
- Interest in smaller businesses and the challenges they face when accessing finance
- Excellent communication skills
- Confident in building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships
- Expected to role model candour and integrity
