About the role

  • Production Designer at BrandActive responsible for preparing artwork and design documentation for brand implementations. Collaborating with the design lead and supporting various design projects.

Responsibilities

  • Create original artwork files in Adobe Illustrator for signage, fleet, and other physical assets
  • Collaborate with design lead to ensure design intent is accurately produced
  • Review files for quality, accuracy, and precision before delivery
  • Support design lead in creating sample and prototype documentation
  • Support design lead in translate design intent into technical specifications for RFP
  • Create detailed, to-scale design documents and understand shop drawings
  • Support review of shop drawings for specification and design element accuracy
  • Support review of recommendation books for brand application
  • Prepare artwork and layout for designs as directed by design lead
  • Create 2D and/or 3D renderings to visualize designs
  • Execute and deliver solutions with quality in a timely manner
  • Work with studio team members to set and maintain project schedules and proactively make changes where needed
  • Support design intent by gathering production information and collaborate with studio team members
  • Interact with clients and external stakeholders in a professional manner

Requirements

  • 2-4 years as production designer
  • Experience in environmental and/or wayfinding preferred
  • Proficiency in Mac OS & Microsoft suite tools
  • Intermediate skills in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Experience creating photo renderings and production artwork that includes CAD tool dimensions
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Time management and organization skills required to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working on and prioritizing multiple projects
  • Experience with prototyping and manufacturing
  • Experience with material and structural selection
  • Competency in 3D rendering software (e.g. SketchUp, CAD, Adobe Dimensions, Keyshot, Rhino or Revit) is an asset
  • Experience in industrial or experience design is an asset
  • Experience with cloud-based file management systems and collaborative workflows
  • Proficient in leveraging AI tools to streamline and optimize workflows is preferred.
