About the role
- Project Manager overseeing thermal cooling system installations in data centers for Boyd. Ensuring project deadlines met and managing installation teams with mechanical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the thermal cooling system installation within a customer’s data center facility
- Install and test cooling units manufactured by Boyd in parallel with customer installation
- Ensure all components function properly and the project is completed without delays
- Manage Boyd’s Project team to successfully complete the installation of thermal cooling systems
- Partner with project teams and general contractors to ensure deadlines are met
- Troubleshoot cooling system issues with support from Boyd tech support team
- Ensure contractors comply with negotiated contract documents
- Communicate project status changes with Boyd management
- Perform product commissioning and hand-over to customer
Requirements
- 3+ years project management experience
- 3+ years of field service experience
- Experience managing large project installations, preferably within new construction
- Strong mechanical aptitude & understanding of electromechanical systems and Cooling Distribution Units (CDU)
- Hands-on experience with construction, field service or maintenance trades
- 3+ years of working with and managing contractors / Field Service activities
- Associate’s degree in related field (engineering preferred)
- Project Management experience (PMI or PMP certifications preferred)
