Responsibilities
Drive value creation by developing or introducing innovations and optimizations for new and/or existing products;
Promote products internally and externally that incorporate the developed innovations/optimizations;
Apply global strategies to projects and opportunities according to the needs of key customers and OEMs (automotive and white goods/appliances);
Provide technical consulting to customers, identifying and developing sustainable solutions for project requirements;
Represent customer requirements within the company, translating needs for each internal area;
Maintain consistent and effective customer engagement through visits, recording interactions in the CRM tool;
Be responsible for mapping the market within your specific area of activity, identifying new projects and building a pipeline of opportunities for the internal team to pursue;
Lead the preparation of PPAP for automotive customers;
Lead the management of technical complaints, conducting investigations, determining their root cause and communicating findings to the customer;
Influence all key stakeholders in the value chain (customers, suppliers, OEMs, end users, etc.) to actively drive technical innovation with Borealis;
Act proactively with OEMs, preparing for homologations and changes in technical standards;
Requirements
Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related field;
Advanced level of English;
Relevant work experience in the role (product, process, thermoplastic application);
Technical knowledge of polymers, plastic compounds and plastic processing technologies;
Knowledge of quality tools for the automotive market: Process FMEA, APQP, PPAP;
Process Engineer providing engineering support to optimize refinery operations and implement long - term strategies. Involves collaboration with multiple disciplines within the Puget Sound Refinery.
