Responsibilities
- Drive value creation by developing or introducing innovations and optimizations for new and/or existing products;
- Promote products internally and externally that incorporate the developed innovations/optimizations;
- Apply global strategies to projects and opportunities according to the needs of key customers and OEMs (automotive and white goods/appliances);
- Provide technical consulting to customers, identifying and developing sustainable solutions for project requirements;
- Represent customer requirements within the company, translating needs for each internal area;
- Maintain consistent and effective customer engagement through visits, recording interactions in the CRM tool;
- Be responsible for mapping the market within your specific area of activity, identifying new projects and building a pipeline of opportunities for the internal team to pursue;
- Lead the preparation of PPAP for automotive customers;
- Lead the management of technical complaints, conducting investigations, determining their root cause and communicating findings to the customer;
- Influence all key stakeholders in the value chain (customers, suppliers, OEMs, end users, etc.) to actively drive technical innovation with Borealis;
- Act proactively with OEMs, preparing for homologations and changes in technical standards;
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related field;
- Advanced level of English;
- Relevant work experience in the role (product, process, thermoplastic application);
- Technical knowledge of polymers, plastic compounds and plastic processing technologies;
- Knowledge of quality tools for the automotive market: Process FMEA, APQP, PPAP;
- Project management knowledge is desirable;
