Responsibilities
Review and investigate transaction monitoring and screening alerts.
Identify unusual activity and emerging patterns.
Support high-quality, timely reporting to AUSTRAC.
Apply strong judgement and technical expertise in assessing cases.
Document investigation outcomes and make well-reasoned recommendations.
Complete four-eye quality checks across investigations including customer off-boarding decisions.
Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders across Operations, Risk, Compliance and Data & Analytics.
Support capability uplift across the team and contribute to training initiatives.
Requirements
Capable AML or Financial Crime Analyst with solid experience in investigations, transaction monitoring, sanctions or screening.
Strong understanding of AML/CTF obligations, typologies and red flags.
Confident making risk-based decisions in complex or ambiguous situations.
Experience in financial services is required, with professional qualifications such as ACAMS or ICA well regarded.
Ability to communicate clearly and explain complex issues to a broad range of stakeholders.
