About the role

  • Graphic Designer developing and designing humorous books and calendars for a leading children's publisher. Collaborating with editorial team and ensuring brand coherence in all designs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design humorous books and calendars — from initial concept ideas through to the finished product
  • Create creative layouts for books and calendars in the humor genre
  • Design book covers with special finishing features
  • Produce promotional materials such as posters, advertisements, and social media graphics
  • Ensure all designs are brand-coherent and targeted to the intended audience
  • Maintain and further develop the publisher's visual brand identity
  • Work closely with the editorial team and support the integration of illustrations and text

Requirements

  • Completed training or degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or a related field
  • Professional experience designing books, magazines, or similar print products (ideally in publishing)
  • Confident user of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Strong typographic sensibility and a keen eye for design
  • Experience or interest in designing games, non-book products, or merchandise is an advantage
  • Creativity combined with conceptual thinking and a sense of humor
  • Open communication style and active participation within the team
  • Independent and meticulous working style, even under deadline pressure
