About the role

• Senior Product Engineer supporting avionics product development at Boeing. Focusing on Application Lifecycle Management within multi-disciplinary teams and strategic engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Focal for the development and implementation of complex engineering initiatives, including rollout of major engineering and software tools, lean and quality projects, and key Process & Tools priorities.
• Responsible for the planning, road-mapping, resource identification, and execution of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools and software packages.
• Serve as the primary liaison to AvionX Product Lines to elicit, document, and validate system and tool requirements.
• Translate Product Line requirements into actionable solution specifications and clear acceptance criteria for engineering and IT implementation teams.
• Collaborate closely with the IT organization to align Product Line priorities with enterprise roadmaps, resource capacity, and governance processes; jointly develop prioritization frameworks.
• Responsible for the strategic management of our tool deployments, cutovers, sunsetting activities, acceptance testing, and adoption plans for AvionX Product Lines.
• Identifies technology needs from a hardware, software, and cloud computing perspective in conjunction with key leaders.
• Develops concise and pointed engineering presentations to drive communication and execution of AvionX Engineering goals and priorities.
• Maintain and provide detailed engineering metrics and KPI’s on all associated projects.
• Proposes new projects and initiatives based on findings and experience within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 8+ years of experience in information technology, software engineering, digital transformation or application lifecycle management
• 5+ years of experience in a role requiring project / program management skills
• 3+ years of experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing and analyzing data
• 3+ years of experience leading projects in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team including designers, engineers, writers, product managers and software developers
• 3+ years of experience in an Aerospace/Defense business
