About the role
- Senior Systems Architecture & Definition Engineer at Boeing leading the Sapphire program architecture efforts. Collaborating with various teams and ensuring compliance and performance within systems engineering.
Responsibilities
- Works collaboratively across subsystems within the Sapphire program and with IPTs for development and delivery
- Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements
- Performs various analyses to optimize the total system of systems and/or system architecture
- Responsible for identifying unassigned scope and ensuring it gets properly distributed
- Participates in the identification and resolution of cross-functional and cross-IPT technical issues
- Ensures compliance by integrating the SEIT statement of work (SOW) and technical specification into the IPT workflow
- Participates in the planning and execution of Sapphire system engineering events
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Experience leading engineering teams
- Advanced knowledge of Architecture definition and design concepts and techniques
- Experience with PLM/MES/ERP integrations, middleware, ICDs, and digital thread concepts strongly preferred
- Familiarity with SEIT and Application Lifecycle Management toolchains
- Strong analytical, risk management, and process measurement skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience coordinating with IT security (IDT&S) and applying security/compliance constraints into architecture definition
- 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
