About the role
- SLS Core Stage Senior Deputy Program Manager overseeing NASA missions and ensuring production contract adherence. Responsible for program execution, customer relations, and performance management.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the SLS Core Stages meet NASA mission needs, including production contracts
- Program execution, customer relationship management, and award fee management
- Implementation and execution of the program's performance management system, including baseline and change management
- Risk/issue/opportunity management, market-based affordability, program operating rhythm and root cause corrective actions
- Recovery planning and accountability to the SLS Core Stage Program Manager
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of Experience with NASA Space programs or a related Space or Defense program
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Development programs that are transitioning to Production
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading a team and/or large project in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Experience in using Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and processes and methods
- Strong customer and supplier relationships
- Champion of program management best practices and the standard gated process
- Effective performance metrics to track program level progress in technical, cost, and schedule requirements
- Experience with Earned Value Management Systems
- Collaboration and integration across organizational boundaries
