About the role

• C2BMC Systems Engineer developing integration and testing processes for missile defense systems at Boeing. Collaborating with industry partners to optimize system performance across defense initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Work with other industry partners in the development and execution of a comprehensive assessment program supporting the C2BMC Element of the Ballistic Missile Defense System
• Evaluate systems under various scenarios and architectures to determine and/or optimize overall system mission performance in a framework giving insight into performance that may be employed by Missile Defense Agency and Warfighters
• Perform various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
• Develop and maintain analysis tools of varied fidelity including modeling and simulation tools to predict performance against evolving threats of current and future missile defense systems
• Lead various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
• Develop, maintain and identify improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
• Define, schedule, assign, and execute tasks, and monitor completion to lead the monitoring of integration and checkout activities, receiving and evaluating of results of activities, and approving/disapproving of each by determining whether results meet the checkout requirements, so that integration activities can proceed
• Serve as a subject matter expert for integration and test domains, system engineering system performance/ domains, system-specific issues, processes, tools, and regulations
• Lead efforts to solve complex missile defense problems
• Utilization of MBSE tools such as CAMEO or DOORS, System Architect and mathematical modeling and simulation to provide thought leadership and lead trade studies in assigned areas
• Drive the system engineering integration and test or system analysis approach
• Develop, select, tailor and deploy integration and test processes, tools and metrics
• Execute and document integration and test activities and events
• Develop, define efficiencies and improvements to tools to improve team productivity
• Perform system analysis trade studies to define technical concepts and solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 9+ years of work-related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or 7+ years of work-related engineering experience with a Master’s or 4+ years of work-related engineering experience with a PhD
• 3+ years of experience in system engineering (e.g. Systems, Design, Architecture, Integration, Requirements or Test)
• Must have an understanding of System Engineering and iterative product development using Agile practices.
• Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills.
