About the role

  • Systems Engineering Manager overseeing a team of engineers for the Sentinel Program in the United States. Managing engineering activities and providing mentorship while ensuring project success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Systems Engineering Capabilities activities for the Command & Launch Infrastructure Launch Equipment team
  • Coordinate vertically and horizontally with multiple engineering teams and organizations.
  • Coordinate with customer and supplier engineering teams.
  • Coordinate Incremental Functional Capability activities to shape team priorities.
  • Lead Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) coordinating with specialty engineering teams.
  • Organize and lead execution of multiple Critical Design Review events.
  • Provide career mentorship and operational support to a Functional Home Room (FHR) team (Section) of between 8 and 12 Individual Contributors (ICs).
  • Responsible for personnel performance management, process familiarization and training for Section members, as well as staffing of roles on projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8 years of related experience or Master's degree and 6 years of related experience
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
  • Managing people experience preferred
